Hope in the Fight Against Meth

The costs of methamphetamine use in the US are staggering. Estimates run as high as $43 billion dollars annually, a figure which cannot take into account the incalculable pain and losses the drug inflicts on users, their families and their victims. As many as 1.4 million users nationwide are addicted to meth, an estimated 500,000 of them in California. So powerfully addictive is the substance that only a lucky few will ever return from the hell on earth that is meth addiction.
