Contact our editor if you have a scoop on a breaking story. First and foremost, we encourage progressive organizations that are in the trenches working for social change to submit fact-filled articles on your campaigns. We invite freelance writers to submit news articles, investigative reports and fact-based opinion pieces. In determining whether to run a submission, we evaluate the subject matter, the content, the style and the writer’s qualifications. If you are a new writer for this site, please include your name, organization (if applicable), phone number, email address, a one or two sentence description of your organization’s purpose or your personal background, a link to any organizational website, and a low resolution head and shoulders thumbnail photo. You may also include a photo, video link or other materials that illustrate the story.

Guidelines for submitting articles: Submit articles to our editor. Guest articles and opinion pieces should use a journalistic style. They should use the third person voice, unless the writer is describing a relevant firsthand experience. Feel free to include hyperlinks to source materials. We don’t publish personal attack pieces. Feel free to suggest a brief headline. We reserve the right to make minor grammatical corrections that do not alter the content of an article. We write the headline. If you submit an article you are granting us permission to publish it. We do not pay for articles that you may submit for publication on this site.
