Prediction: Hillary Clinton Will Not Win the California Presidential Primary

Sara-Nichols.gif By Sara S. Nichols

I'll let you in on an important political secret: my mother is the unit California Democrat. As she votes, so vote the Democrats of California. As long as I have been tracking it, this has been proven to be true.* And my mother doesn't like (putting it mildly) Hillary Clinton.

Here are the facts: she is a retired schoolteacher, born and raised in the deep south east, she has lived in California 55 years (40 of them in San Diego). Although widowed by a radical leftist (yes, my father) who registered Peace and Freedom Party and often voted for losing third party candidates against mainstream Democrats, my mother is a yellow dog Democrat. There isn't an ounce of swing voter in her. She is relatively socially liberal, tends to be comfortable with and support the mainstream Democratic choices.

She supported Bill Clinton, Michael Dukakis (she loves Greeks), Walter Mondale, Al Gore and John Kerry in their respective primaries (and she supported them long before the historically late California primaries rolled around). She still holds bitterness and resentment against some of her children for "throwing the election to that man (W)" by supporting Ralph Nader in 2000. "That man" was also what she called Ronald Reagan.

Closer to home, she supported Gray Davis until the San Diegans started to experience blackouts and electricity rate hikes. Then she started to hate him and voted for Cruz Bustamante in the recall--I think she voted against the recall because she was worried about Schwarzenegger winning, but I'm not sure, I should check.

She always votes in every single election. She calls my husband and goes over any questions she has on her ballot with him, taking his advice if she doesn't know more about it herself from locals. She is also very interested in how the local teachers' union tells her to vote. If the teachers' union's opinion differs from ours, she'll usually go with the union.

So last night, I gingerly broached the subject of who she was favoring in the California Presidential primary. I had been avoiding the subject for months afraid that it would be Hillary, given her affection for her husband.

Her response? "I'll tell you who I don't favor, Hillary Clinton. How anybody could vote for that woman is beyond me. I don't think she can win. The Republicans are all united against her. And I don't want her to be President. I don't trust her. I'm afraid I'm going to have to support that Obama, Barat (sic) whatever is name is, whom I've never even heard speak."

Music to my ears. A white woman brought up in the cradle of the confederacy, with all that that implies, would rather support a black man whose name she doesn't even remember over Hillary Clinton.

There's hope!

*Exception, my mother did not vote for stunning upset Assembly primary winner, Lori Saldana in 2004. Perhaps she is only the prognosticator of statewide outcomes, not local races.

I guess since she voted for Cruz and didn't vote for Lori Saldana, her lucky streak has been over for some time! Hillary will win. Easily. Because she has the strength and experience to do the job.

Posted by: Steven Maviglio at November 19, 2007 09:26 AM

Vote for Hillary for president. She is much more experienced and stronger to lead!

Posted by: All Voters at November 19, 2007 10:00 AM

What experience has Hillary had? As first lady? Give me a break!!!

I don't know one ex-first lady who has experience to be President including Hillary.

Without being married to Bill she wouldn't be a viable candidate at all. People are expecting Bill to bail her out if she gets in over her head.

She's not qualified.

Posted by: Teri at November 19, 2007 11:03 AM

To Teri: She's certainly more qualified than W was, whose only real qualification was that he was HW's son (in Texas, the Governor has almost no real power). Obama doesn't really have any more qualifications than her, and the truely "qualified" candidates (like Biden) are generally consider to have no chance. Hillary is a United States Senator, not just a first lady.

Posted by: publius at November 19, 2007 12:15 PM

I did not say that whoever my Mom votes for wins. I said that whatever way my Mom votes is the way most (but not all) Democrats in California vote. So, the fact that my mother, the unit Democrat in California, will not support the Clinton of the month, means that Hillary will not win the California primary.

Posted by: Sara Nichols at November 19, 2007 12:15 PM

Thank to her (Hillary) we have a COBRA insurance plan that cost more than what most people receive for an unemployment benefit. Cobra was designed so that a person who lose a job would have the option to continue medical health care. But the problem is it is very expensive for most anyone who lose their job.

Hillary has been a political disappointmnet. This has been known to those of us who have followed her politics.

I will not be voting for her until she show some real leadership NOW than later. She must use her political savvy now to end the war and IMPEACH the bush administration to prove that she is worthy to be the President of the United States.

Posted by: anon at November 19, 2007 01:53 PM

I would want to think Liberals will look at the big picture. They need to do a good follow up as i have done on her. I read some books that were written on statements she had said in these books.Do to the adult content in which she stated things I cannot reproduce.

What a sweet 'lady'?
-From the book "Inside The White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 244 - Hillary to the staff at the Arkansas Governor's mansion on Labor Day, 1991

-From the book "Inside" by Joseph Califano, p. 213 - Hillary yelling at a Democrat lawyer.

-From the book "American Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p. 90 - Hillary To her ! State Troope and her body guards after one of them greeted her with "Good Morning."

-From the book "Crossfire" p. 84 - Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event.

-From the book "The First Partner" p. 259 - Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.

-From the book "Hillary's Scheme" p. 89 - Hillary's various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.

-From the book "Unlimited Access", by Clinton FBI Agent in Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139 - Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail.

-From the book "The Survivor" by John Harris, p. 99 - Hillary screaming to an aide, when she found out that some Republicans had been invited to the Clinton White House.

-From the book "Inside The White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 243 - Hillary to Gov. Clinton when she spots him talkin g with an attractive female At an Arkansas political rally.

-From the book "The Case Against Hillary Clinton" by Peggy Noonan, p. 55

-From the book "I've Always Been A Yankee Fan" by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 20 - Hillary to Rep. Dennis Hasert in 1993 discussing her expensive, disastrous taxpayer-funded health care plan.

-From the book "I've Always Been A Yankee Fan" by Thomas D. Kuiper, p.6

This ill-tempered, violent, foul mouthed, hateful and abusive woman wants to be your president and have total control, as commander-in-chief of our Military, the very Military for which she has shown incredible disdain throughout her public life.
Surely the people of the The United States can easily do better than this. If not you will get 4 more years of the same politics of the past.

Posted by: Jay at November 19, 2007 05:49 PM

Jay's rant against Hillary Clinton is jejeune even for him.
I have no doubt she is not a very nice person--so what? The question is, what policies will America follow when she is in office? Are they better than the ones the Republicans will follow?

As far as post-war Presidents, the "nice" ones have been Truman, Ford and Carter--two of these were accidental presidents (Reagan was genial but wasn't very nice, and Nancy Reagan was on par with Hillary). Running for president almost precludes being a normal human being (Carter was probably only nice because he was legitimately religious, unlike the hymn-singing hypocrite we currently have in the White House. And he seems to have quit going to church...guess he's near enough the end of his term that he doesn't have to keep up pretenses).

Maybe its time you stop listening to your mothers opinion...
Hillary Will win!!

Posted by: Jerry Ames at November 20, 2007 02:44 PM

you are wrong,
Hillary is going to run away with it. The election will be close, but she will be the Pres. She will be just like her Husband a moderate pissing off the far right and far left and leaving most very happy.

Posted by: Jeff at November 20, 2007 03:37 PM

Jerry and Jeff have it right. Don't use your mother as the litmus test for this one; and expect Hillary to run away with it. The reason people distrust Hillary is because the movement against her is extremely vocal. Nonetheless, she has a better sense of the national pulse than her opponents, and having Bill in her corner will promise the referendum on both the extramarital stuff, and the impeachment that we never had except in the opinion polls. Those polls said that said most of us - like Hillary - could see Bill's infraction as embarrassing but hardly a high crime. What's more she isn't Bill. Some of us think she is smarter than Bill and that he is still one of best leaders of the last century. When Hussein turned on the radar, Bill took out the radar. Was that an inferior approach to Hussein than to have and occupation? It's a moot point.

You people need to wake up and get over hillary's experience. experience doesn't mean jack shit. it means you were part of the problem of years past. experience gives you people like bush, cheney, romney. I know when I vote, I want someone fresh, someone who can make real change, and someone who doesn't owe anybody anything.

Posted by: Derek at December 2, 2007 11:39 PM

I like Obama because he is smart, twice as smart as Bushie Boy. On the other hand Ialso like Clinton, either way I will vote for one or the other. On the other hand John Edwards also would make a good president, although he has just as much experiene as Obama does, only difference is he has been out there knows how to compaign.

Good ticket would be Clinton/Obama, Roberts/Clinton, Clinton/Biden and on the far side Clinton/McCain(just a joke).

Posted by: Margaret Currey at December 17, 2007 01:32 PM

I am 100% Obama. He is not only qualified but he has proven himself as a senator. I don't trust Hillary, and besides that the Clinton's have had their time of glory...their done. I feel that America is ready for this change. Although I am a white American, I feel that a change in the ethnicity of our president would do us a great deal of good.

Posted by: Macy at January 9, 2008 12:39 PM

Lol.... Not one comment on Ron paul here.

Ron Paul has enjoyed 10% (roughly) Of the votes so far. If it came down to it i would vote for Obama If it was Obama vs any other Republican other then Ron paul.

Hitlery (Clinton) Should be examined closely by you people here for what she truly is. (fanciest)(Raciest) (Corp smuch)

Do not agree with what i have to say ? Think i am full of it ?? Do your own research.. The evidence it out there. Open your eyes people... Do not accept what the main stream media is telling you. Look who owns the main stream media..

Mehh.. As long as Voter fraud like what happend in New hampshire (Just this week) and What happend in florida back in 2000.. Our votes will not count..

Once again.. DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR THIS .. Do your own research.. Find out for yourselves.

Obama is a fucking loser who is trying to be the next martin luther king. He is nothing but a shit talker and all of you obama lovers are falling for his crap. Anyone that votes for someone that is "likeable" shouldn't vote at all.

Posted by: quest at January 11, 2008 11:31 PM

Hillary Clinton does not have the experience to be President! Her husband and her know how to lie, lie, lie, and lie...Bill Clinton was the second U.S. president to be impeached by the House of Representatives. If american people want changes, DO NOT VOTE for Hillary Clinton.

Obama is so far to the left, that a vote for Senator Obama is essentially a vote for Senator McCain. Senator McCain's primary weakness is his willingness to remain entrenched in the Middle East. The Democratic candidate should easily beat him for this particular stance. However, if the democratic candidate is so far to the left that people rationalize the war then Senator McCain stands a real chance of winning.

Do we really want 100 years of war in the Middle East with America at its center. We have a chance for the moderate Republicans and Democrats to have their voices heard if we nominate Senator Clinton. We have a chance to strengthen our country economically and politically. Senator Clinton is ready to serve as President. She has the experience, dedication and conviction. Senator Clinton can beat Senator McCain. Senator Obama doesn't stand a chance.

Give Senator Obama 8 more years to prove himself. It is so much easier to criticize in retrospect, which is exactly what Senator Obama does when he refers to votes made when he was not even in the Senate. We have all learned from the mistakes of the past 8 years. Senator Obama is using the mistakes other people have made to somehow make himself seem more competent. Senator Obama has avoided voting in the Senate at a rate of 37.7%. No attempt to vote is certainly a way of playing it safe. Let the man stand on his own record albeit a short one. Let him spend more time learning how to participate in government. Let him do it in the Senate, not in the White House. We have all ready given George W. Bush 8 years to practice in the White House. We need a real leader to repair the country.

Vote Senator Clinton for President!

Hi
Americans,

An exciting season as the would be Presidential nominee 2008 hopefuls move closer and closer.

The nominees from both the Democratic and Republican party are taking part in what will determine America’s future, and await the complete results of finale Super Tuesday, 5 February 2008 where over 20 states across America are voting simultaneously, followed by a series of mini finales. The mini finales will brand an icon of the 21st century, it is essential that the right nominee gets through.

If you are eligible to vote, carefully select a nominee as it will affect your life. When voting, be realistic. For instance, do not be taken by Barrack Hussein Obama’s sweet talk, and his so called charisma which he lacks, greatly. His speeches are well rehearsed and only someone with an IQ of less than 100 will read into them.

The focus seems to be mainly on the Democratic Party. However, there is growing popularity amongst the Republicans and its nominees, John McCain, and Mitt Romney.

Nevada has narrowed down the nominees and given an indication in determining the Democratic nominee for 2008.

Main Democratic nominees, by popularity

Hillary Rodham Clinton

Barrack Hussein Obama

BARRACK OBAMA (Democratic) Senator of Illinois

The man hoping to be the first Black President in American history seems to have quite an

ill-bred character. There are certain elements of controversy.

Background: Genealogy

Claims on becoming the first Black President in American history, but fails to mention his mixed racial background during campaigns

The media claims Barrack’s father is from Africa (Kenyan) and Black, his mother from America (Kansas) and Caucasian White.

However, there are inconsistencies, some of which include, a set of 26 images at Chicago Tribune, seem to reveal two different people. A very young Barrack in picture 1/26 appears fair and lean, but in 7/26 appears short and dark. A slightly older Barrack in picture 11/26 appears overweight, and unhealthy.

Question, Who is in some of those pictures published at Chicago Tribune?

Ancestral links to current Presidents

Barrack is the 11th cousin of President George Washington Bush, and the 8th cousin of Vice President Dick Cheney?

Faith: Religious Beliefs

Conversion from Islam to Christianity during his teenage years, but lacks clear reason

Barrack claims to be a Christian Protestant, yet inexplicably attended a Christian Catholic school for 2 years, and in Indonesia, a country with severe Islamic radicalism. What type of a Christian is he - even a Christian? Neither of his parents were Christians, how does his beliefs elevate to Christianity. A practising Catholic in Indonesia is a claim unheard of, and ridiculous. There is noticeable difference, historical clashes between Catholics, and Protestants.

Question, How did Barrack practise Christianity around a radical step father, and go un-noticed for 2 years.

An article on former Barrack fundraiser who is facing federal corruption charges which include: attempted extortion, fraud, and money laundering.

Background: Personal Habits

A Substance abuser of (cocaine, marijuana) during his younger years

Barrack admitted using various prohibited substances (drugs) when he was younger.

Depending on the length, and severity of use, cocaine permanently affects the brain, by causing irreversible brain damage, which include the decision making process, a serious matter. He should have been disqualified from running as a nominee.

‘Clinton and Obama get mired in race row…’ (Jan 05, 2008)

www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/article3187389.ece

A former drug user is not the choice of person one would have as a nation’s leader. Barrack also admitted drug use when he could afford the comfort. What is preventing him from resorting to such behaviour.

Question, What are Barrack’s policies on illegal substances (drugs), and their dealers/suppliers (drug dealers)?

Question, Have specific health screening examinations been carried out on all nominees?

Scenario, foreign crises erupts and its mission critical. Suppose, a person of responsibility was affected by a long term drug taking habit, the consequences could be disastrous. An example of neglect, George Washington Bush Junior, noticed how his errors in judgement have affected the planet.

Conduct: Colleagues

Behaviour, towards his democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton

You may have noticed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton upset during a television interview after Iowa’s primary, reacting to something unpleasant, almost breaking down in tears. This may have been due to her loss in Iowa, or could it have been Barrack’s taunts at her, and mischief in election campaigns.

It is understood that Barrack has played a series of psychological games with his nominee Hillary Clinton.

Barrack’s trick is simple, he pulls strings like a puppet master, and pulls them at moments when his opponents are vulnerable, often resulting in Hillary Clinton’s unease around him. When he does not get his way, he has outbursts and resorts to racial activist behaviour.

Barrack’s behaviour cost him New Hampshire by over 5000 votes when more women turned up and voted for Hillary Clinton. The very young which Barrack was counting on kept away. Suddenly, the young were not so naïve anymore.

In addition, instead of congratulating Clinton’s success Barrack made a speech which sounded like the activist Martin Luther King, using racial background as a weapon to gain aggressive votes, this further cost him Nevada where the Latin population is high. This was a desperate move which will definitely puncture his hopes of ever running as a Democratic nominee again, if he looses.

Barrack may have fought of some of the Republican insurgency but he does not have the required ability, or background to fill in the position of the President of United States of America.

Policy: Domestic

Barrack Obama, Junior senator that claims experience

In a recorded media statement (Feb 01, 2008), Barrack was quoted saying, "I respect Senator Clinton's record. I think it's a terrific record. But I also believe that the skills that I have are the ones that are needed right now to move the country forward, otherwise I wouldn't be running for president."

Barrack was elected to the US Senate in November 2004 and has been a junior Senator since, for just over 3 years, the only amount of front line political experience which has been promoted so spectacularly, not mentioning his performances on state reform laws.

For instance, Illinois is what we could consider a disastrous example of an economy. In certain parts; a 3 bedroom house will only you setback $10,000.

Does anyone remember how West Germany has been since 1989, after the collapse of the East Berlin wall? If, America is not careful, and chooses the wrong person as Democratic nominee, the existing damage will have only acquired itself a catalyst.

From the above, Barrack’s lack of experience and judgement are insufficient to manage an economy the magnitude of America.

Scenario, If a door-to-door sales man solicited Barrack’s 'holy water' his supporters would pay anything for it.

Policy: Foreign

A pledge to negotiate with extremists of Iran, and to invade ally (Pakistan)

During a candidacy promotion in Illinois, Barrack’s policies on foreign affairs caught up with him, and were heavily criticised.

Iran is in possession of nuclear technology (weapons grade) obtained illegally, and has pledged to wipe ally (Israel) by any means necessary. Despite this, Barrack believes in holding discussions without pre-conditions, whereas he hinted at sending military into neighbouring ally (Pakistan). Barrack has logical decision making flaws; it makes one wonder if narcotics still have an effect on his already limited intelligence.

Question, Could it have been difficult suggesting, forces being sent into Pakistan to assist rather than the oblivious?

CNN (independent report)

‘Presidential hopefuls attack Obama's remarks about Pakistan’ (Aug 08, 2007)

www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/ 08/07/obama.pakistan/index.html

Barrack has made pledges, and agreed to most things, but does he have a grasp?

For instance, taxes are low due to the demand and supply of natural resources such as oil which at the moment is $100 per barrel. Technically taxes should be high because oil is limited in supply and high in demand.

Barrack’s idea is to maintain low taxes with exhaustive expenditure at 75 billion dollars. The only way he can possibly achieve this miracle is by expanding the war on terrorism into surrounding areas of Afghanistan, Iraq where the land is rich in natural resources such as: oil, gas, coal, gold, precious stones, etc. These natural resources have an effect on the stock markets.

A successor of George Washington Bush’s ideology, Barrack forgets that the world is a diverse place. Required is a nominee who is diplomatic, can handle both domestic matters, and foreign affairs.

Reuters (independent report)

‘Barack Obama proposes $75 billion stimulus plan’ (Jan 13, 2007)

www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/article3187389.ece

Dilemma, would you alienate yourselves from the world by choosing Barrack Obama or whether you would choose a sophisticated lady, Hillary Clinton who has knowledge, experience, and charisma.

The above are exclusive just to Barrack Hussein Obama, no other Democratic or Republican nominee have such serious flaws.

Does American really require Obama in their politics, let alone a presidential race? This is a man who thinks he can lead America.
