Breaking News: Sacramento Area Congressmember John Doolittle's House Raided by FBI

By Frank D. Russo
Just received word that the FBI has raided the Northern Virginia home of Republican Congressman John Doolittle and now see that it has been picked up by Think Progress and Roll Call.
Not much in the way of details are publicly available yet about the circumstances of the raid, but Doolittle and his wife, Julie, have been under federal investigation for their ties to the scandal surrounding imprisoned former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
See our article from Monday, "Democrats Smell Blood in the Water for Doolittle," in which we detailed some of the troubles Doolittle has had in his district, the fact that his Democratic challenger, Charlie Brown, has outraised him in campaign contributions since the November election, and then breaking news of the resignation of Kevin Ring, his former aide, from his law firm which lobbies as well.
The Sacramento Bee has just picked this one up as well, but so far with no additional details.
This time Lucy will not be pulling the ball away from Charlie Brown, it appears.
