New Zogby Poll Has Angelides Slightly Ahead of Schwarzenegger, But Within Margin of Error

By Frank D. Russo
Check out the new Zogby Poll in today’s Wall Street Journal and you’ll find California coded blue in the race for Governor.
The specific California poll has Angelides ahead of Schwarzenegger by a margin of 44% to 42.3% with a margin of error of 3.5%. It was conducted between July 11 and 19.
For a description of their methodology, go to the bottom of the page of the main article on polls in today's Wall Street Journal.

Today, in CT, your Barbara Boxer was a fast talking liar. She's all over the news supporting Lieberman! I'd say you have more to worry about than Schwarzenegger. Perhaps Boxer needs to get ousted in her own primary. You have my sympathy.

I reported the Zogby numbers after I got them.
However, the Zogby Poll, like the Rasmussen Poll, is quite wrong.

Well, Bill, I wouldn't bet the arm on this poll--or any other to date. You have a 50% chance of being 100% right about this, within the margin of error.
Pirandello wrote a play, "It's So If You Think It's So." All I would caution is that if everyone think someone's going to win, then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Maybe the heat has gotten to me today. Seems to me that this one is far from over.

Let's hope Arnold can stay in office. We can't afford Angelides, either fiscally or environmentally!!! Angelides will put California on a very bad path to destruction, as if we weren't in enough trouble already because of past bad management...

Bill Bradley: Why do you spin for Schwarzenegger so much? Do you really support him?

There will be another poll out tomorrow with different numbers. Embargoed for now. Stay tuned.

Oh, David, whoever you are, take the partisan blinders off.
I know it's hard to take facts you don;t like, but that's just the way things are.
Better you should avoid grasping at straws.
There may be some real straws coming.
I'll let you know.
