The need is clear. We have no shortage of work to do to communicate progressive messages on California issues. The right in this state is well organized and funded. They are able to repeatedly hammer their “big lies” through think tanks, talk radio, and other propaganda organizations. Their message is often simple and misleading. We have seen what this has done nationally. We can’t afford to let this happen in California.
As California progressive organizations and individuals we act from many shared principles, but we often work in our specific policy areas in isolation from one another. We need to share information amongst ourselves and more widely through the media with the public at large. Now, with a shortened news cycle and a dwindling presence in the state capitol by news organizations, this website is needed more than ever.
